Serafin Ensemble, a group of internationally acclaimed chamber musicians, will take the stage to kick off SummerScape 2025, the Lewes Public Library’s live performance series in its new outdoor pavilion at 111 Adams Ave., Lewes. Coastal Concerts is co-sponsoring Serafin Ensemble’s appearances.
String Splendor: Haydn and Dvořák will begin at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 11. The Serafins’ performances continue with Bach, Handel, Mozart and Telemann at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, and Czech This – Dvořák and Martinuat, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 25.
Under the direction of Kate Ransom, violinist and artistic director, the Serafin Ensemble consists of artists devoted to collaborative chamber music performances of repertoire for up to eight players. The musicians gather in Delaware from around the nation and the world to prepare and share with audiences their performances of great masterworks and lesser-known works for an unconducted ensemble.
Chairs will be provided under the covered area of the pavilion; registration is required for covered seating. Guests are also welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets to the lawn surrounding the pavilion, which does not require registration.
Should events move indoors due to inclement weather, only those who have preregistered can be accommodated.
