Service window installed at Lewes City Hall

June 19, 2020

To keep indoor traffic at a minimum, a service window has been installed at Lewes City Hall. The window to the right of the main doors to the building was recently retrofitted to be used as a service window.

City Manager Ann Marie Townshend said people have continued to come to city hall to do business, not realizing it has been closed for the last few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think this service window will provide a good opportunity for people to still have that direct customer service,” she said.

City hall remains closed to the public, but Townshend said staff has slowly started to return to work.

In addition to the window, she said, they hope to soon install a dropbox outside the building where people can drop off materials such as absentee ballots for the upcoming election.
