Shell We Bounce holds New Year’s events
"3...2...1...Happy New Year!" This familiar countdown could be heard not at midnight, but at noon on New Year's Eve, at the new Shell We Bounce Trampoline Park in Lewes.
Hundreds of kids gathered beneath the giant balloon drop net, which contained 300 colorful balloons.
"Pull that string, pull that string!" the crowd chanted over and over for the four minutes or so leading up to the countdown. Finally, it was time for the 10-second countdown, and screams of excitement could be heard as the balloons showered down on the group of children, arms up, waiting excitedly below.
Then the sound of fireworks filled the air, as balloons were popped, and children searched for prizes hidden within. Prizes included gift certificates to be redeemed for a variety of items within Shell We Bounce, including drinks, snacks, T-shirts, and prizes from the arcade redemption counter.
In addition to the Countdown to Noon from 10 a.m. to noon, there was also an evening New Year's Eve event, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets were $25 and included two hours of bounce time, a $10 Arcade Card, and a dinner which included Grotto pizza, cookies and fountain sodas.
Tickets for both events could be purchased online during the days leading up to New Year's Eve, or in person upon arrival.
Shell We Bounce is a Trampoline Park and Family Entertainment Center on Lewes-Georgetown Highway in Lewes. In addition to trampolines, dodgeballs courts, Slam Dunk Basketball hoops, and an air bag, there is also an Arcade, Café, and a Kid Zone specifically for children 9 and under, which includes a multilevel climbing structure, soft play toys and inflatable bounce house.
In addition to open bounce seven days per week, Shell We Bounce also holds adult excise classes twice per week, tumbling classes for ages 20 months to 6 years, birthday parties, and weekly special events including Special Abilities Day every Monday, Toddler Tuesday, and Storytime every Friday.
