For Stroke Awareness Month in May, Beebe Healthcare’s Shuna Harmon, lead tech in the laboratory, threw out the first pitch at a Phillies game.
In December, Harmon suffered a stroke; she was treated at the Beebe ER and transported to Jefferson Hospital. After a successful procedure by Jefferson neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Gooch, Harmon was discharged to home three days later.
Gooch recommended Harmon to throw the first pitch.
