Simpler is a longtime community champion

October 18, 2024

Since before the 14th District even was the 14th, Mike Simpler was volunteering and dedicating his time, energy and efforts for the benefit of the people of the Cape Region.

Starting in the late ’80s and into the early ’90s, among other things, he championed the creation of the Little League field on Holland Glade Road. He was instrumental in the plans, the fundraising and the implementation of the plans. Then he coached, was an umpire, and, all in all, just at the helm of the whole thing.

In addition, he is, and has been for nearly 30 years, a volunteer first responder/firefighter and is currently president of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Now raising his own family in the Cape area, Mike continues his dedication to the community. We know Mike, and Mike knows us! He is open-minded, listens and works for the win-win that will benefit all. He will serve us well as the next District 14 representative!
