It was with great pleasure that I learned that Steve Smyk has made the decision to seek the office of state senator for our district. Steve and I go back longer than either of us would like to admit, and it is through that long relationship that I feel he is absolutely the right man for this job.
Steve is a native Sussex Countian who has lived through the evolution that has resulted in the growing pains we are now experiencing. He cares about our way of life ... and preserving it.
He is a fantastic communicator. Yes, he can talk with the best of them. But, it is his dedication to listening, and hearing, that makes him special. He poses questions in order to understand the foundation of a concern you share with him.
And, he does more than that; he acts! You won’t be waiting for weeks for a response from him.
If you are looking for a leader who listens, cares about our area and is not afraid to take action (who isn’t looking for that?), vote for Steve Smyk for our state senator. You will not have buyer’s remorse with this vote.
