A sneak peak at March 30 Teller Wines Expo & Benefit Auction items

March 19, 2019

The 2019 Teller Wines Expo & Benefit, slated for 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 30, will showcase delicious foods from eight local restaurants, over 100 premier wines from 13 distributors, 10 amazing live auction items and more than 50 silent auction items, as well as music performed by the Rehoboth Concert Band. This year’s beneficiary is the Rehoboth Beach Film Society.

Tina Samson, RBFS event chair, stated, “The film society greatly appreciates the work of Teller Wines owners Catherine and Kevin Hester for creating this event, which is enjoyed by so many and benefits a different nonprofit organization each year. A heartfelt thanks to all the artists, businesses and institutions for donating wonderful items which will make the live and silent auctions so exciting.”

A sneak peek at some of the live auction items reveals a unique low five-digit Delaware license plate with the number 10454; an Italian-inspired dinner for eight prepared at home with an intimate concert by Paul Cullen; the Jack Lewis watercolor “Tow Truck”; a solid mahogany armoire circa 1850; a cultural and historical enriching overnight trip to Philadelphia; and several more. Be sure to bid on the auction of a three-liter bottle of Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, a good item for a wine expo!

The silent auction will include creative artwork from several local artists, gift packages from restaurants and shops, spa treatment for the automobile, admission to theatrical and musical entertainment, a signed copy of Bryan Stevenson’s book “Just Mercy,” baskets of books from local authors, a cruiser bike to get around town and so much more!

The Tellers Wine Expo & Benefit is a great opportunity to sample delicious foods and wines, bid on a wonderful assortment of goods and activities, listen to delightful music, and enjoy the company of good friends. Admission is a tax-deductible $80 per person which includes a take-home souvenir wine glass. The expo takes place at the St. Jude Parish Life Center, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.
