SoDel Cares supports Community Resource Center

April 14, 2024

SoDel Cares, the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts, recently donated $2,500 to the Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach, which helps low-income individuals and families become more self-sufficient and stable.

In addition to the financial support, SoDel Concepts employees held a drive at the hospitality company’s 2024 leadership retreat to collect food and household items for CRC.

“CRC’s mission is perfectly aligned with SoDel Cares’ mission,” said Scott Kammerer, founder of SoDel Cares and CEO of SoDel Concepts, a hospitality company based in Rehoboth Beach.

“We started SoDel Cares to support Delaware organizations that help children, at-risk youth and adults, and older people,” he said. “CRC provides vital resources to people in our community. So many visitors and residents don’t realize how many of their neighbors are in need.”

In addition to offering a food rescue program, CRC offers emergency assistance/community outreach; a baby pantry with formula, baby food and clothing; a job center; and a day center with showers, laundry and food services.

Since its start in 2017, SoDel Cares has donated more than $1 million to area charities.
