Sposato Landscape recognizes Poncho Lares for 20 years of service

September 29, 2019

When people see Sposato landscapers cutting grass, weed-whacking or edging, it’s a pretty good bet that they were trained by Poncho Lares.

The Milton resident has been with Sposato since 1999, most of that time as training manager. He estimates he has trained more than 800 new employees over the years.

“It’s been fun. I have no complaints, and people here seem to like me,” said Lares.

“Part of the reason our company has grown over the years is because of Poncho,” said founder Tony Sposato. “You can’t grow a business unless you have a good training program. Poncho teaches them how to do the job and how to do it safely.”

Lares and his wife Rosa have three children and nine grandchildren.
