St. Peter's to serve soup during Dec. 6 house tour in Lewes

November 16, 2014

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Women will serve their popular Annual Soup Luncheon Saturday, Dec. 6, to the hungry crowds who will be walking the quaint streets of Lewes enjoying the Lewes Historical Society Christmas House Tour.

The menu will consist of hot vegetable soup, vegetarian minestrone soup, rolls, dessert and beverage. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall of the church on Second Street at historic St. Peter’s Square. The cost of the luncheon is $8 with all profits benefiting local and global charities. Tickets can be purchased at the event.

A benefit raffle will also be held featuring a classic holiday gingerbread house, sophisticated Christmas wreath, delightful holiday table runner, and elegant gourmet basket. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased at the event or at the church office. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the luncheon, and the winning ticket holder does not need to be present to win.

Chef Chris Miller-Marcin, chairwoman of the Annual Soup Luncheon, said this wonderful, traditional event brings the community together for great food and provides funds for outreach to the church and community. For more information call the church office at 302-645-8479.
