Susan Catherine Roche, loved the beach

Susan Catherine Roche, 68, of Milton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at her home. She was born July 20, 1954, in Jersey City, N.J., daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy "Junie” Contini.

Mrs. Roche graduated from St. Michael’s High School Class of 1972.  On June 2, 1973, she married the love of her life, Patrick H. Roche, and 10 years later they moved to Northeast, Ohio, where she worked in the local school system in Champion Township. Mrs. Roche dedicated many years as a lunch cashier, as well as a teacher's aide for children with special needs. After relocating to Delaware, she was a member of the social committee in the development of Vincent Overlook in Milton, where she resided. A woman of many hobbies and interests, Mrs. Roche especially loved trips to the beach and enjoyed all coastal living had to offer.  Above all, Mrs. Roche cherished time spent with those she held most dear, particularly her adored grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Loved by many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Roche is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Patrick H. Roche; her children: Jennifer Carney (Timothy), Jamie Roche (Jennifer) and Jonathan Roche (Jaime); her grandchildren: Brian, Kara, Carter and Jackson; her brothers: Edward Contini (Diane), Joseph Contini (Rose) and Jeffrey Contini (Liz); her loving in-laws; her numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of lifelong friends.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Final care for Mrs. Roche has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
