Susan Macintire exhibit runs until Aug. 13 at Lavender Fields

All are invited to Lavender Fields near Milton to enjoy an exhibition by local artist Susan Macintire running through Saturday, Aug. 13, featuring upwards of 15 original pieces as well as prints.

Macintire is a painter and pastelist residing in Lewes. Her bold shapes, adventurous color palette and keen sense of texture are key to her signature style. The former nurse began her artistic career painting wildlife and has expanded her subject matter over time. Her body of work largely reflects the sights and lifestyle of lower Delaware, with still life arrangements, coastal sea life views, and seascapes and landscapes of iconic local spots. To Macintire, each subject has its own personality which she brings to life.

Lavender Fields is located at 18864 Cool Spring Road, Milton, and is open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Macintire will be on site between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day, and by appointment until 4 p.m.
