Sussex County native invited to Philadelphia Flower Show

Briauna Taylor and The Bloom Wagon to feature signature floral handbags
March 1, 2023

Delmar native and Sussex Tech alumna Briauna Taylor and her flower company, The Bloom Wagon, will be featured on Artisan Row at the 2023 Philadelphia Flower Show, taking place from Saturday, March 4 to Sunday, March 12.

Taylor will help thousands of people re-create her signature floral handbags. Guests can select vibrant flowers and greens to drape out of a sustainable, waterproof handbag.

The Bloom Wagon blossomed from Taylor’s love of arranging and giving flowers to her mother, which started with her garden on her late grandmother’s portion of their family’s compound in Delmar.

Founded in 2019, The Bloom Wagon opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Wilmington last June. When Taylor’s handbags caught the eyes of Pennsylvania Horticultural Society representatives, they invited her to be a part of the flower show.

“As a native Delawarean and just a girl from Sussex County, being invited to the Philadelphia Flower Show is more exciting than I could imagine. I have never attended the flower show, but the excitement on the faces of people who have, when I tell them that I am being featured, tells me all I need to know about how big this is. It’s an honor to be considered a part of something so impactful in this industry,” said Taylor.
