Sussex Preservation Coalition to meet April 8
April 1, 2026
The Sussex Preservation Coalition will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes. The meeting will also be livestreamed on SussexPreservationCoalition.org.
A quarter of recent Sussex development has occurred in areas where the state wants to preserve land for farms and open space. Agriculture remains the backbone of Sussex County’s economy, and farmers are squeezed by multiple economic forces.
Speaking on the Aglands Preservation Program will be Don Clifton, Delaware secretary of agriculture, and Jimmy Kroon, deputy ag secretary.
