Sussex Strong, the charitable foundation of the Sussex County Association of Realtors, announced a new partnership with Clothing Our Kids, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk students succeed by providing essential school clothing.
As part of this partnership, Sussex Strong has contributed $1,000 to support COK’s mission to serve students from Head Start through high school across Sussex County.
“Sussex Strong is proud to support an organization that’s making a real difference in our community,” said Jamie Coleman, Sussex Strong president. “Every child deserves to feel confident and ready to learn when they walk into the classroom, and Clothing Our Kids is helping make that a reality.”
For many students, lacking basic items like clean shirts, warm coats or properly fitting shoes can lead to bullying, missed school days and a decline in academic performance. COK works to change that — one garment at a time — by providing clothing that helps children feel valued and prepared to succeed.
The $1,000 donation from Sussex Strong will go toward providing items such as coats, shoes, shirts and pants, ensuring more local children are supported and school-ready.
