The Caravel Academy girls’ soccer squad remained undefeated with a 6-0 defeat of Sussex Tech April 29 in Georgetown.
The Buccaneers outshot the Ravens 18-3.
“We ran into a quality tournament team today,” said Tech head coach Carlos Villa. “We came out flat and just could not match Caravel’s intensity.”
Caravel’s Gabriella Marte scored four goals and assisted on another. Caitlin St. Leger and Alaina Alston each added a goal, with Alston adding an assist. Lauren Hayden and Summer Stewart each helped on a goal.
Tech goalkeeper Valencia Whealton stopped 12 shots, while Caravel goalie Sydney Keld made three saves to secure the shutout.
“We still have five matches left in our regular season, and I expect this team to make the most of these opportunities,” Villa said.
The Ravens host Indian River Tuesday, April 30.
