Sussex Tech students Ryan Fitzgerald and Devin Deloach win national BPA medals

Sussex Technical High School congratulates the students who recently attended the Business Professionals of America National Competition held April 26 to 29 in Chicago, Ill. Eleven students qualified for the competition by placing at the state competition. At the awards ceremony, it was announced that two of the students placed third in Chicago.

Business, Finance and Marketing senior Ryan Fitzgerald of Seaford competed in Human Resource Management, and junior Devin Deloach of Millsboro competed in Presentation Management-Individual. Both had to place in the top two in the preliminary in order to qualify for the final round of competition.

Other Sussex Tech students attending the Business Professionals of America National Competition in Chicago were Mahnoor Mahmood, Seaford; Reggie Summers, Lincoln; Nhu Do, Seaford; Gavin Short, Seaford; Danny Halloran, Milton; Juan Leonard, Dagsboro; Cody Penrod, Seaford; Kristin Ulmer, Ocean View; and Drekia McKoy, Millsboro. BFM teachers accompanying the students to Chicago were Frank Makray, Sabrina Neal and Andy Feightner.
