Suzanne Miller Sams, devoted church member, quilter
Suzanne Miller Sams, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Tega Cay, S.C.
Born Aug. 25, 1938, in Wichita, Kan., she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Emma Much Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ronald Sams; and her brother, Edward Miller.
Suzanne was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro and was active in her community. She worked at Hercules Incorporated and later as a laboratory technician for Himont.
She was a devoted quilter and participated in several quilting groups. She and her husband lived for nearly 40 years at their home on the Indian River.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Skrobot of Lake Wylie, S.C.; her sons, Craig Sams of Wilmington and Trent Sams of Holliston, Mass.; five grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.
