Thanksgiving dinner held at the Nanticoke Indian Center

Indian Mission United Methodist Church once again stepped up for a heartwarming and generous event this Thanksgiving season. The Nanticoke Indian Center opened its doors to the community Nov. 18, inviting everyone in need to join in a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner at no cost.

“We love to give back to the community,” said Indian Mission UM Pastor Patricia Bollinger. “We had it last year and it was well attended.”

For this year’s event, Bollinger said others pitched in to help. The Nanticoke Tribe provided new, free coats for children. 

The year, the Thanksgiving feast promised a delectable array of traditional dishes, prepared with love and care by volunteers and members of both the church and the Nanticoke Tribe. From succulent roasted turkey to creamy mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and stuffing, there was a spread to satisfy every palate.
