Theresa DeBellis, loved her family

Theresa “Teri” DeBellis (née McCullough), 69, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

Teri was born in New York City and spent most of her life in Bergen County, N.J., including graduation from St. Cecilia High School in Englewood, N.J. She worked at TJ Lipton in Englewood Cliffs, where she met her surviving husband, Dominick “Dom” A. DeBellis.  Teri and Dom retired in Southport, N.C., and eventually moved to Raleigh, N.C., then finally to Delaware to be with their grandchildren.

Teri is survived by her husband of 46 years, her son, Dominick M. DeBellis of Broadlands, Va.; her daughter, Christyn Vanaman, her son-in-law Matthew Vanaman, and grandchildren Luke, Leah and Ella Vanaman of Lewes.

Sincerest gratitude goes to Delaware Hospice, which provided a great deal of comfort to Teri during the last days of her five-year battle with ALS.

All services will be private.

Final care has been entrusted to: Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
