Thompson Island to host smallest bar crawl in the world March 9

March 7, 2024

Thompson Island Brewing will host the smallest bar crawl in the world in its enclosed beer garden tent from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at 30133 Veterans Way, off Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach.

Bartenders from Thompson Island and Ocean View Brewing are setting up different stations featuring Campari brands and beer from Thompson Island and Ocean View Brewing in the 1,000-square-foot space. Each bar will feature a different motif, ranging from a tiki bar to a Barbie-themed stop. The brewery will host two sessions, one from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and the other from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

As an added component, the bartenders are competing to see who can mix the attendees’ favorite drinks. Regulars of the breweries can expect to see their favorite bartenders, including Justin Mento, Mason Strecker, Kyle Kormanik, Reilly Spinelli, Ben Carper, Robyn Hagy and Megan Guinan.

“The brewpub experience is all about bringing people together for fun, memorable experiences." said Nelia Dolan, vice president of Southern Delaware Brewing. "When the idea of hosting a miniature bar crawl was posed, we were excited to bring this event to Rehoboth.”

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, and include eight drink samples and Chef Raul’s Tater Tot Bar. To purchase tickets, go to thompsonislandbrewing.com.
