Historic Lewes announced tickets are now on sale for the annual Holiday House Tour of Lewes, to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, featuring 12 properties festively adorned for the season.
The self-guided tour has become a long-standing tradition, attracting visitors from across the region who wish to experience the charm, history and architecture of the First Town in the First State.
“The Holiday House Tour of Lewes showcases not only the beauty of these unique homes but also the rich history of our community,” said Susan Bowser, event chair and Historic Lewes board member. “This event allows us to share the spirit of the season while raising essential funds for preservation and educational initiatives.”
Tickets may be purchased for $50 through the Historic Lewes website at historiclewes.org.
A detailed guidebook with descriptions of each property on the tour will serve as an admission ticket and will be available to pick up prior to the event.
Each ticket will provide one-time admission to tour all homes during the designated hours.
Past events have sold out, so early ticket purchase is encouraged.
Proceeds from the Holiday House Tour support Historic Lewes’ ongoing efforts to preserve, interpret and promote the history of Lewes. Established in 1962 as Lewes Historical Society, the organization maintains a campus of historic buildings, curates exhibitions and offers educational programs designed to engage residents and visitors in the rich heritage of the region.
