TKo Hospitality and Harvey, Hanna & Associates expand footprint

January 15, 2023

Hyatt Place Kent Narrows officially opened its doors to guests and the local community with the brand-new, 120-hotel-room property located at 3028 Kent Narrows Way South, Grasonville, Md., at Fisherman’s Village on the Chesapeake Bay in Kent Narrows.

This marks the fourth hotel property collaboration between TKo Hospitality and Harvey, Hanna & Associates. HHA has served as the developer for the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach (2013), Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach (2021), Hyatt Place Kent Narrows & Marina (2022) and the former Sandcastle Motel, which is currently in redevelopment and rebranding for a 2023 opening in Rehoboth Beach.

“We are proud to work with Harvey, Hanna & Associates and Schulz Development to continue expanding the Hyatt brand throughout the Delmarva Peninsula,” said Vince DiFonzo, TKo Hospitality president and COO. “We are experienced with managing franchise and independent hotels, including several Hyatt-branded properties. We have successfully managed and operated the award-winning Hyatt Place Dewey Beach in Delaware, Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach, Del., Hyatt Place Ocean City/Oceanfront, Md., and the Hyatt Place/Hyatt House Allentown, Pa.”

Co-developed by Schulz Development and Harvey, Hanna & Associates, the new Hyatt Place is operated by TKo Hospitality Management. Located in the heart of the historic Fisherman’s Village, the Hyatt Place Kent Narrows & Marina offers spectacular waterfront views from guest room balconies and public spaces, making it the perfect place to enjoy the Chester River, Eastern Bay, and Kent Narrows’ active marina community and other nearby waterfront destinations. The property will also feature a 5,000-square-foot conference center, indoor pool, bar, modern fitness center and 44-slip marina with direct access to the waterfront village deck, piers, docks and recreational amenities.

“After having proudly established the very first Hyatt-branded hotel in Delaware, in Dewey Beach, we committed early on to expand the world-renowned Hyatt offerings on the Delmarva Peninsula for our loyal patrons,” said Harvey, Hanna & Associates President Thomas J. Hanna.
