Tower Beach FC Soccer Camp creates future stars

July 15, 2023

Cape soccer coach Patrick Kilby has created the Tower Beach FC Soccer Camp, which ran July 10-14 on Cape Henlopen High School’s Bermuda grass fields.

The camp, with 29 players, offered a curriculum of instruction for each day. Monday focused on passing and receiving, Tuesday dealt with possession, Wednesday taught attacking and finishing, Thursday highlighted defending and Friday was game day.

“This is the first summer in which I have ventured out to start my own LLC,” said Kilby. “I am very excited to provide camps to our community youth. It’s a strong local camp with local coaches at our local high school, Cape Henlopen. I am super pleased to have Joe Rupar on staff. He works with our younger campers. He is a math teacher at Love Creek Elementary and my varsity assistant at Cape Henlopen High School with the boys’ soccer team.”

Kilby thanks Shawn Cotijo of GreenTop Landscaping for making it possible for campers to receive shirts.
