Trail sections closed for maintenance work
Project will continue weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout September

Sections of the Lewes-to-Georgetown Trail from Donovans Road to Log Cabin Hill Road will be closed for a Delaware Department of Transportation contractor to cut down and trim trees, mow and spray. The work began Sept. 3 and is anticipated to be complete by late September, pending weather. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.weekdays. There will be temporary barriers in place; DelDOT officials remind trail users not to move the barriers or go around them. The barriers will be removed by the contractor at 7 p.m. each day.
