Trainer Tim Hall's power of positive personality shines at Club Fitness

June 29, 2011

Tim Hall graduated from Sussex Central in 2002, where he was a star basketball player. His father, also Tim Hall, has been an assistant basketball coach at Cape the last eight years.

Tim is currently working on his associate’s degree in biotechnology at Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown.

Tim was working as a patient care technician the last three years at Beebe Medical Center before taking a job as a personal trainer at the new Rehoboth Club Fitness.

Tim has been working out and lifting the last four years, and what jumps out about him is his friendly, easy and confident personality. “I am a people person,” Tim said. ”I get along with everybody.” Tim is an African-American and personal trainer, a combination that places him in a real minority.

“Getting people to the gym is part of the battle, but keeping them here is the biggest battle,” Tim said. “A free orientation enables me to talk about goals, cardio and weights, and proper nutrition. I have 30 different clients; most of them are senior citizens. My job is to move them from their comfort zone and get them to work hard.”

Tim freely admits, “Many of my clients don’t have much personal experience with African-Americans. My personality and character and positive attitude work well. Most of my clients hug me and we become friends.”

Tim Hall and people like him are good reasons to join a gym - physically and mentally fit, teachers and trainers with the talent to motivate and inspire others.
