Trinity Faith Christian Center holds Black History Program

Students from H.O. Brittingham have a Black History Program each year directed by Bevelene Holloman. They brought their program to TFCC and received a standing ovation. In front are (l-r) Yazzmin Harmon and Ayreonna Hudson. In the second row are Miranda Schmidt, Taryn Young, Laila Sellers, Shylah Allen, Xavier Brooks, Makai Turner, Ariyah Watson, Nakiy'zha Smith, Jaelynn Benitez, Karra Subrick and Mara Perez. Jymayce Wescott did a recitation titled “Faith: A Black History Monologue.” In the recitation, Wescott spoke from the points of view of Rosa Parks, Harriett Tubman and Michelle Obama.
The Rev. John Moore, a youth pastor from Calvary Baptist in Dover, recited Martin Luther King speeches in a realistic way using King’s speech patterns and intonations. He accurately recited “I Have A Dream” and “Drum Major.”
February is Black History Month, and Trinity Faith Christian Center in Lewes held a Black History Program Feb. 26. The program featured music, dance, recitations and black history addresses.
