Trinity Logistics named a Top Workplace in Delaware

September 10, 2017

Trinity Logistics, headquartered in Seaford, has been named a Top Workplace in Delaware for the eighth time.

This year's honor is especially meaningful to the company as it recently began a new journey as a team member-owned company through an employee stock ownership plan, making each team member a part owner in the business.

Trinity prides itself on an employee-centered culture, offering employee lunch programs, continuing education, telecommuting benefits, maternity and paternity leave policy, workplace wellness programs and team-building events throughout the year.

Trinity ranked 11th in the Midsize Business Category on this years' Top Workplace list. The company has made the list consecutively from 2009 to 2017, landing a first-place win in 2013.

"We have an amazing team of people. Their commitment to excellence and to delivering an exceptional customer experience is world-class; it truly sets them apart in our community and in our industry," said Billy Banning, president of Trinity Logistics. "This award is a reflection of this team and the culture of serving that they have created. It's a great honor for Team Trinity to be selected once again for the Top Workplaces in Delaware award."

The Top Workplace award is ranked entirely on employee feedback on a survey through Workplace Dynamics. Team members were asked questions about whether new ideas are encouraged, if employees feel appreciated, if their boss cares about concerns, and if they are confident in company leadership.

"The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it's all about fancy perks and benefits," said Doug Claffey, CEO of Workplace Dynamics. "But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day - the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what's most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it's going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn't have a shot at being named a Top Workplace."

Trinity uses information from the surveys to spark conversations with team members and management to measure what areas are strong, and how the company can advance together as a whole.
