Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council members handed out 130 free turkeys in about five minutes Nov. 14 near The Circle in Georgetown. The council is made up of 24 construction craft local union affiliates with more than 4,000 members throughout Delaware. Although council members have had a turkey distribution program in New Castle County for several years, this was the first turkey giveaway they sponsored in Sussex County.
