Union Street Meeting House celebrates baptisms

Union Street Meeting House Church in Milton held its annual church picnic Sept. 14.
Aside from enjoying fellowship and a meal together, several members chose to take the next step in their faith by being baptized.
After each person came up out of the waters of baptism, Caleb Bucher blew the shofar, an ancient musical horn, typically made from a ram’s horn, in celebration. Pastor Carl Vincent shared scripture with those being baptized, reminding them of the ceremony’s significance.
Pastor Tim Parker and Colby Smith performed the baptisms. Those who followed Jesus’ example in baptism are Trish Dickerson, Will Jones, Solomon Cox, Isla Maeva Halverson and Dana Kania.
