The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has lifted a water quality advisory for North Indian River Inlet Beach. An advisory was issued July 2 following bacterial results above the recreational water quality standard.
Bacteria most likely originates from wildlife such as shorebirds, marine mammals or other warm-blooded animals feeding near the surf, along with increased rainfall and wave activity.
