Valentina Sounds Trio to play the Listening Booth June 15

The Listening Booth will present the Valentina Sounds Trio from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at its new location, 18388 Coastal Highway, Suite 11, Lewes.

Led by Valentina Raffaelli, an Italian-born singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia, the trio’s music brings a hopeful spin on themes that touch everyone's lives: love, anxiety, depression.

Her latest release, "Wake Me Up," is positive and uplifting, although the inspiration for the song comes from experiencing a near-death accident that prevented Raffaelli from singing and playing for nearly a year.

The song spins this traumatic event and ongoing recovery into a message filled with empathy and hope. “Find what keeps me alive, one single reason that will wake me up,” she said. "I want to create songs that I wish I could have listened to during the toughest months of recovery. If anyone out there is in need of a positive message, I hope they can find it here.”

Valentina Sounds Trio will feature Raffaelli on lead vocals, accompanying herself on keys or acoustic guitar, along with Sara Mingle on vocals and hand percussion, and Molly Hebert-Wilson on vocals and bass. The trio will charm attendees with their enchanting three-part harmonies and well-arranged compositions.
