VegFallFest to be held Oct. 26 at Lewes library
VegRehoboth will host the inaugural VegFallFest from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
The celebration of community, compassion and delicious plant-based living will bring together food lovers, sustainability advocates and wellness enthusiasts for a day of learning, tasting and inspiration.
Attendees will delight in lunch options provided by local eateries, showcasing the vibrant flavors of plant-based cuisine.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy live music, shop from local vendors, and connect with organizations promoting sustainability, wellness and compassionate living. Local businesses and organizations will offer education, food, gifts and eco-friendly products.
Program topics include Our Oceans and Us, Autumnal Gardening: Native Plants and Vegetables, Cooking with Umami, and Why and How to Go Vegetarian.
“VegFallFest builds on the energy of our seasonal events, bringing people together to celebrate the beauty of autumn, the joy of good food and the power of community,” said Tara Sheldon, president of VegRehoboth. “We’re proud to partner with local chefs, educators and environmental advocates who remind us how plant-based living nourishes both people and the planet.”
“I’m thrilled to be part of VegFallFest,” said Chef Hari Cameron. “Sharing the creativity and depth of plant-based cooking is something I love — it connects us to the seasons, the ingredients and each other.”
VegFallFest will feature live performances, local vendors, and community partners including the Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute, Lewes in Bloom and regional sustainability groups. Together, they help make VegRehoboth’s mission to promote healthy, sustainable and compassionate living a reality.
