Veronica Link, beloved sister, aunt
Veronica Link, 57, of Georgetown, died peacefully at Stockley Center Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, where she had received loving care for many years.
Veronica was born July 29, 1965, in Philadelphia, Pa. While living with her family in Havertown, Pa., Veronica attended Overbrook School for the Blind. Veronica moved to Lewes with her parents, William and Anna Link, in 1988, and in later life, she resided full time at the Stockley Center.
Despite her disadvantages, Veronica was well-known for her charismatic and charming personality. She won the hearts of all she encountered. Her family has fond memories of her one-note compositions on the piano and her recitation of words like mom-Mee (mommy), cof-Fee (coffee) and mu-Sic (music). The family remembers Veronica for her impish smile, her hearty laugh and her gentle stubbornness.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents William and Anna; her brother Brian; and her sister Patty Canby. She is survived by her siblings, Billy, Dennis, Judy (Salvatore), Joseph, Jerry, Maryellen (Fullmer), Loretta (Link-Esterly), Raymond, Felicia (Cannon), and their spouses; as well as many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and -nieces.
She will be interred with her parents in a private ceremony Tuesday, March 14, at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Sussex Pregnancy Care Center of Georgetown, 5 Burger King Drive, Georgetown, DE 19947.
