VFW Post 7447 Buddy Poppies fundraiser set Sept. 18

VFW Post 7447 Auxiliary will be distributing Buddy Poppies during a fundraiser to support POW/MIA veterans from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, in front of the Giant grocery store, 19312 Lighthouse Plaza, on Route 1, Rehoboth Beach.

Sept. 18 is POW/MIA Recognition Day, which honors those who serve in the U.S. armed forces and pledges to make sure everything possible is done to account for those who have never returned. Donations will benefit not only the disabled veterans who assemble the Buddy Poppies but also their needy dependents and orphans of veterans.
