Residents from The Villages of Five Points community spent the morning of April 23 removing trash from the Lewes-Georgetown Trail, Old Orchard Road, the public walking trail and community ponds.
Planned to coincide closely with Earth Day, this event attracted a large number of participants and resulted in a significant amount of trash collected and properly disposed of.
The event was sponsored by The Villages of Five Points Community Enhancement Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2019 to promote open space preservation and environmental conservation, and enhance the surrounding community and roadsides.
