Wags, Whiskers & Wine to benefit Humane Animal Partners June 10
Humane Animal Partners, formerly Delaware Humane Association and Delaware SPCA, a statewide animal welfare organization with adoption centers in Rehoboth Beach, Wilmington, and Stanton/Christiana, will host a summer soiree and volunteer appreciation event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, June 10, at Nassau Valley Vineyards, Lewes.
Kicking off a fun summer season while supporting HAP’s lifesaving mission, Wags, Whiskers & Wine presented by Ashton Pools by Design aims to bring together local pet enthusiasts and wine lovers to raise awareness and funds for HAP animal rescue and adoption, as well as its low-cost community resources such as spay/neuter, veterinary services and more.
Wine and animal lovers alike are invited to attend and enjoy delicious wine, local beer provided by Dewey Beer Company and mixed drinks by Tito’s Vodka. The ticketed event also includes catered finger foods, live acoustic music from Matt Lafferty and the Pros from Dover, yard games, raffle baskets and prizes.
“We’re so excited to have this opportunity to celebrate all of our amazing volunteers, while also welcoming fellow animal lovers from the Sussex County community,” said Leigh McKinley, HAP Rehoboth Beach center director. “Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Our lifesaving work wouldn’t be possible without them, and we’re grateful for them every day.”
