Free and open to the public however registration is required
November 8, 2019

Brandon Straka, a political commentator and founder of the #WalkAway movement, will be a guest speaker from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center in Rehoboth Beach.

This is a free event and open to the public. Registration is required.

“The modern-day Democratic Party is not what it once was,” said Straka. “Current liberal ideology holding so many hostage attacks the very freedom and values that our country was founded on. I hope to inspire more Democrats to separate from the fraudulent and corrupt platform of the Democratic Party.”

“So many Delawareans no longer can relate to today’s Democratic Party. The Democrats have taken such extreme positions on so many issues that we hear regularly from voters who want to know more about our candidates and to register Republican. Brandon can speak powerfully to what they are feeling,” said M. Jane Brady, chair of the Delaware Republican Party.

Straka was thrust into the public eye after releasing a video in June 2018 titled #WalkAway-Brandon Straka, “Why I left the Democratic Party.”

A member of the LGBT community, Straka continues to lead the #WalkAway movement, publicly advocating for the rejection of extreme liberal ideology in favor of conservative ideals. Straka has made numerous media appearances including Fox News, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Blaze TV and Laura Ingraham Show. His #WalkAway video has received hundreds of thousands of views. He continues to inspire people across the country to join the #WalkAway movement on social media and to have the courage to share their testimonials of leaving the Democratic Party.
