Crews work to restore dunes on the north side of the Indian River Inlet bridge after waves spilled over northbound Route 1.
Waves crash onto the shores of Delaware Seashore State Park, where the ocean breached the dunes onto northbound Route 1. The morning’s high tide occurred at 10:07 a.m., with the next high tide expected at 10:21 p.m. 
A sign reminding park users to keep their dogs a leash is about to be swept out to the ocean.

The left northbound lane of Route 1 near the Indian River Inlet bridge has been reopened, and both lanes are available a short distance farther north.
Waves breached the dunes along northbound Route 1 between Access Road A and Inlet Road north of the Indian River Inlet bridge this morning, pushing water onto the highway.
