Where have kindness and courtesy gone?

September 26, 2023

There needs to be enforcement to not allow multiple vehicles to sit in crossovers on Route 1. This applies to both traveling northbound and southbound on Route 1. More people are going to get in accidents and be killed. On Sept. 22, I was leaving the Lewes Senior Center at 9 a.m. and was in the crossover on Janice Road attempting to turn left to go north on Route 1. A white pick-up truck with an extended cab decided to sit next to me in the crossover, which blocked my view of oncoming traffic. I could not see around this white truck. The extended cab was too long for the crossover. I could not see, horns were blowing, then the white truck decided to turn left in front of me on Route 1. My car is small and this whole scene was unnecessary and frightening. Our roads are really dangerous. Where have all the kindness and courtesy on the roads gone? Why are so many drivers so angry?
