White's Chapel UMC rededicates plaque honoring WWII service

October 4, 2015

White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Milton celebrated its annual Patriot Day event Sept. 10 with a rededication of a plaque honoring church members who served in World War II, including two soldiers who were killed in action. The plaque, which has been hanging in the church for nearly 60 years, was redone with new name plates for the occasion.

White's Chapel has been honoring Patriot Day every year since Sept. 11, 2001 with a dinner and all-American service sponsored by the church United Methodist Women's organization.

Shown are (l-r) Catherine and Pastor Everett Isaacs; Ralph Davis, lay leader; and Shirley Millman, president of White's Chapel United Methodist Women.
