William C. Shifflett, Kellogg Company retiree

William C. Shifflett, 78, of Millsboro passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

He was born in Washington, D.C., Dec. 4, 1937, son of Guy P. Shifflett and Susan (Long) Shifflett.

He retired as a line operator from Kellogg Company in Landisville, Pa., in 2000. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Iris (Steigerwalt) Shifflett.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, 22860 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown.
