Wind farm a win for Delaware, planet

December 17, 2021

Thanks for doing the poll of area residents on the visual effects of windmills in the distance off our coast. And for the funny cartoon noting there are other visual insults (the airplanes flying big banner ads, the increasing numbers of four-wheel-drive "fishing" vehicles, etc.) on our beaches.

I personally believe the windmills are going to become tourist attractions. There will be boat tours to go see them/learn about them. And their structures will become fish attractions – this happens with all marine structures. So fishing boats will benefit too.

Oh, and we'll be lessening the burden of climate-warming pollution (and sea-level rise) by having clean, renewable energy. A win for Delaware and the planet!
