Wine-d Down Wednesdays kick off at Nassau Valley Vineyards Aug. 2

July 27, 2023

Nassau Valley Vineyards, Delaware’s first winery and the state’s pioneer craft-beverage producer, is commemorating its 30th anniversary this year.

In celebration, the winery will host a series of events and programs across the year. Wine-d Down Wednesdays is a new feature that invites folks to take a midweek break to relax and have some fun.

The Aug. 2 event will offer a free, family-friendly evening starting at 6:30 p.m., with the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre production of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” The 40-minute show will have the kids engaged and giggling all the way. The show will be followed by Grooves in the Grove, an evening of music with local favorite Kerry Hallett from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Attendees can bring lawn chairs. This event is rain or shine. In case of inclement weather or excessive heat, it will be moved into the winery’s Grand Cru Hall.

Caribbean Sasón will be on site with delicious, made-from-scratch empanadas, tacos and quesadillas. The Nassau Valley Vineyards Sangria Bar will offer award-winning NVV wines and sangria, local craft beers and nonalcoholic drinks. No outside food, beverages or coolers are permitted. For the safety of all, pets should remain at home.

Wine-d Down Wednesdays will continue through the fall with a calendar that includes both create-and-take projects and music programs. For more information, call 302-645-9463 or go to nassauvalley.com.
