Wintry weather forecast forces cancellations

* The City of Lewes has postponed the inaugural State of the Community forum, originally scheduled for 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Lewes Elementary School. The forum will now be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the same time at location.

* The joint meeting of Lewes Mayor and Council and the Lewes Board of Public works scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26 in the Bonnie Osler Meeting Room has been moved to Mon. Feb. 2 at the same time and location.

• The Dewey Business Partnership’s Winter Gala, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, has been canceled. Go to deweybusinesspartnership.com for more information. 

• Israel United Methodist Church, located at 20230 Plantation Road near Lewes, will be closed Sunday, Jan. 25, for worship service. • Milton Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Kick Off event, scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26, has been rescheduled for 5-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23, at Milton Theatre.
