Worcester Prep students wrap up year with field day
Worcester Preparatory School students, faculty and families of the lower school came together June 3 to celebrate the end of the school year with the annual Field Day event.
Held on the school’s athletic fields, Field Day featured a variety of games and team-building activities that allowed students from pre-K through fifth grade to compete, collaborate and have fun outdoors. The event, a cherished WPS tradition, promotes physical activity, school spirit, and camaraderie among students and staff.
Following the energetic festivities, the WPS Parents Association hosted a celebratory picnic for students and their families. Guests enjoyed delicious snacks and refreshments sponsored by local favorites, including Grab & Go Taco, the Mad Fairy Cotton Candy, Sandy Pony Donuts, Snow Daze and more. The event served as a joyful sendoff to summer and a chance for the school community to come together one last time before the break.
Founded in 1970, WPS is a private, independent prekindergarten through grade 12 school located in Berlin, Md. Approximately 500 students attend from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. For more information about WPS, go to worcesterprep.org or call 410-641-3575.
