WPS students create Only Positive Stories website

May 8, 2021

Worcester Prep faculty and students wore Stay Positive T-shirts to school one recent day in support of two WPS freshmen who have established a website about spreading positivity.

Brothers Dylan and Hunter Simons, who split their time between Seaford and Ocean City, Md., are co-founders of a motivational new website called Only Positive Stories, onlypositivestories.com. Given today's unsettling world, the boys developed the concept to inspire the global community to share uplifting stories by encouraging people to focus on the positive and making a difference.

Their optimism is even more compelling given that they were once orphans in Siberia who were adopted at age 2 by Dr. Richard and Sharon Simons. After website visitors learn about their family’s incredible journey of trials, tribulations, and determination to navigate international adoption, it is not surprising the boys wanted to share their experience of positivity with the world.

To enhance their Only Positive Stories mission, these scholar-athletes launched a coordinating Find Your Strong merchandise line to not only think positive but to also wear positive, from athletic teams to academics. The merchandise is available on their website, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to local animal charities. Dylan and Hunter most recently teamed up with the Worcester County CASA/Mentoring Program where they are implementing the Find Your Strong campaign to help local youth and encourage more students to join them on this new venture.

Celebrating 50 years, Worcester Preparatory School is an independent, college prep day school for prekindergarten through grade 12 students. Located minutes from the beach in Berlin, Md., the private school attracts an average of 500 students from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
