The VanSciver Leadership Award was presented to Sussex Family YMCA Vice Chairman of the Strong Kids Campaign and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors Jack Vassalotti for his outstanding leadership and his devotion of time and energy to the Sussex Family YMCA. The Sussex Family YMCA Strong Kids Campaign Thank You Dinner was held Nov. 21 at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. This annual event celebrates YMCA volunteers and community collaborators and thanks area donors who have supported the Strong Kids Campaign.
The keynote speaker for the event was Cape Gazette publisher Dennis Forney, who shared photos and stories about the cross-country bicycle trip which he and his wife Becky completed this summer.
