Antifa is a violent anarchist movement whose goal is to disrupt American unity, destroy our Constitution, and usher in communism across the United States. They believe that by creating chaos and social, racial, and political division they will usher in a socialist revolution that will end America.
On June 1, Gov. John Carney said police at the scene of the protests were told to exercise restraint, “to not get sucked into what these activists, these anarchists, these Antifa folks want, which is to provoke violence.” However, Delaware Democrats have an Antifa problem of their own.
Delaware Democratic Party National Committeewoman Kerri Evelyn Harris had a cell of self-identified Antifa members organizing her primary campaign for U.S. Senate against Tom Carper in 2018. State Rep. Sean Lynn, D-Dover, shared Antifa imagery on his social media pages.
The Progressive Democrats of Delaware, listed on the official Delaware Democrat website, counts at least one Antifa organizer, Kristin Bricker, among its steering committee officers. The PDD endorses and funds radical left challengers in Democratic primaries such as current candidates Eric Morrison (RD 27), Madinah Wilson-Anton (RD 26), Sarah McBride (SD 1), and Jess Scarane (U.S. Senate).
How long will Delaware Democrat Party leaders frolic in the mud with anarchists who are hell-bent on bringing destruction to our communities, and ending the liberty and independence that Americans cherish?
How much did weak Democrat leadership and tolerance for anarchism contribute to rioting and looting in Wilmington and Dover?
As the Democratic Party succumbs to further leftist radicalization, will we see these extremists and their sympathizers thrust into more positions of power across our state? Delaware Republicans stand firm against the dangerous ideology and methods of Antifa, the likes of which have led to the rise of violent, authoritarian socialist governments in the past such as Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and Communist China. We call on Delaware Democrats to do the same.
