Following the successful Milton Theatre production of “Nunsense” two years ago, the Little Sisters of Hoboken will officially return to the stage in “Nunsense 2: The Second Coming,” opening Thursday, April 30, at 110 Union St., Milton.
Featuring an all-Delaware cast of regional favorites, the sequel promises twice the laughter, more irreverent musical numbers and the same chaotic energy that made the first show a sold-out sensation.
“Nunsense 2: The Second Coming” takes place just six weeks after the sisters staged their first benefit. Now with a bit more showbiz savvy, the sisters are back to present a high-spirited thank-you show for their supporters.
Cast members bringing these iconic characters to life are Jacey Brittingham, Sister Mary Regina (Mother Superior); Taleah Kennedy-Alston, Sister Mary Hubert (Mistress of Novices); Candice Castro, Sister Robert Anne; Abby Lynne, Sister Mary Paul (Amnesia); Marge Egeln, Sister Mary Leo; Carolyn Corsano Wong, offstage swing covering Regina and Hubert; and Abbey Ruark, offstage swing covering Robert Anne, Amnesia and Mary Leo.
Directed and choreographed by Jessica Bostock, this production includes riotous bingo games, a surprise visit from the Franciscans and the infectious energy that only this cast can provide. Show dates continue through Sunday, May 17.
